WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
We want information, God wants conversation
We want answers, God wants relationship
Welcome to the Bauer Community Fellowship website and the Adult Discipleship webpage!
Just in case you don't already know this, the term “Discipleship” is not just a buzz-word we use to describe small groups here at Bauer. The term "discipleship", is instead a biblical term, and we've chosen it to be the centerpiece of our vision--if you didn't happen to see our vision on an earlier page, you'll find it below:
Our vision "starts with each person being a disciple of Jesus. As disciples, by God's grace and power, we are learning to think, act and be like the Lord Jesus Christ. While on this discipleship journey we are seeking to disciple others through Bible study and prayer, and by serving, encouraging, being accountable, and learning together. Discipling people starts in our own homes - in what we like to call our Discipling Family. The family is the smallest and most transparent Christian community on earth. It is our vision that every discipling family can and should do life together with three to five other discipling families - what we call Discipling Communities. These communities meet regularly to care for one another, to worship and learn together, to hold one another accountable, all while giving witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
In other words, here at BCF, we believe discipleship is bridging the gap between solid biblical theology and practical application. When our small faith communities do life together, they have the joy of exploring the limitless ways in which God speaks and illustrates how listening to his voice can lead to a deeper relationship with him.
